Pixelated


This is a test I created with our proprietary Maya particle tool lsRepro. In this scene the tool generates a 3D grid of beveled polygon cube instances. Object creation is restricted to the shape of the letters. Using the tool’s translation, rotation and randomization features I animated the cubes to fall down forming the LS3D shape. I used the scale functions to let the logo disappear in the end. Setup time for this scene was roughly half an our. Rendering was done in Mental Ray with 3D motion blur.
