| In
case you are new to the world of Maya scripts and plug-ins,
you may be interested in this script pack. It consists of most
commonly used tools from the Download
section.
 |
Connect
Poly Shape (CPS)
This
script simulates subdivision surface modeling using custom
Maya polygon tools. It supports mirror & stitch for
symmetrical modeling about up to 3 axes simultaneously.
With an extensive and fully customizable set of tools,
polygon modeling tasks are easier and faster to solve.
For
modeling examples please refer to the CPS
Gallery.

Pivot
Toolbox
This
toolbox provides 16 pivot related modeling tools. It can
be a real time saver, when building complex hierarchical
DAG structures, that depend on exact pivot placement.
|
 |
Create
Tube
Create
a nurbs tube from selected nurbs curves with optional
caps. Construction history will be maintained.
|
 |
Create
Wire
This
tool creates nurbs tubes or paint effect strokes along
poly edges and nurbs isoparms. Nurbs spheres can be created
at vertices. You can use this tool to render a shaded
wireframe representation of your scene, including shading,
shadows, reflections, motion blur, DOF, ..., or use it
as a modeling tool fox complex grid like objects.
|
 |
Randomize
Points
This
script randomizes the position of selected Control Vertices,
Poly Vertices and Lattice Points, thus making it very
useful for surface distortion. When used with very low
distortion values you can achieve a natural irregularity
that applies to almost all surfaces.

Copy
& Paste
These
scripts provide a very fast and convenient way to duplicate
selected objects with construction history, animation,
shader and what else is connected to the node network.
Since the copy buffer is stored to a temporary file it
will be preserved even if you quit and restart Maya.
